HaxFL Official RuleBook Empty
PostSubject: HaxFL Official RuleBook   HaxFL Official RuleBook EmptySun Jun 02, 2013 6:33 am

1. Basic rules
1.1: Settings
The time limit which should always be correct is 4x2, if this is not correct the match will be invalid and depending on how severe it was it will be replayed or it will be recorded as a draw despite one of the teams winning; it shouldn't be such a problem on a match that was already drawn. The stadium must be either Football or Jedi's 3D Soccer, any other maps unsanctioned by our board will be invalid to be played on. You can find Jedi's 3D Soccer on Haxball Maps. Both teams must also have three players present to play in the match, 3v2 is permitted but is not recommended, but is allowed if all three players are not present although it is possible to loan a free agent who is registered on the forum. He must be registered on the forum before the game, otherwise match will be invalid and default losses, default wins and default ties will be handed out.

1.2: Postponements
If one of the teams' captains or main players or whatever else cannot make it to the match and/or is busy, the match can be postponed. Each team receives three force postpones. After all have been used the captains must discuss the new date and both captains must agree, otherwise the team will have to appear without the player or they will receive a default loss resulting in the other team acquiring three points.

1.3: Team Rules
Players which appear in the squad's lineup for a match must be listed on the team's lineup on the forums with an existing forum thread regarding the signing, otherwise the match will either be replayed or invalid, resulting in both teams receiving a point each, depending on how severe it is a team may be handed a default win.

1.4: Player Limits

Every team must have less than eight players in their lineup on the forum, after the limit is reached and you prefer to sign another, you must cut an existing player from your squad. Three players from your squad must appear on the match as I mentioned in rule 1.1.

1.5: Lack of Players
If a team is missing a player, either loaning a free agent or playing 2v3 is allowed. We recommend loaning a free agent although there are not many.

2. Match Rules
2.1: Goal kicks
If the ball has gone over the bar, a goal kick is used, opposition players must stand at a reasonable distance away from the player taking the goal kick, if this is not done, a warning will be given, if he does not move, a yellow card will be dished out. If a bug has caused a goal, the opposition team must give a fair play goal. The maximum time to take a goal kick is five seconds, any more than that it will be a warning or yellow card to the player taking the goal kick. The maximum amount of bounces is three as more than that will cause time waste. An approximate amount of added time will be added to both halves by the referee, this is why the match time limit must be set to unlimited alike Real Soccer. At the end of the half the referee will give the amount of added time, this will be from twenty seconds to one minute and a half.

2.2: Referees
For each and every match this season a referee will be deployed to each match, if no referee is found for your match then a user from none of the playing sides will be asked to referee the match, if no one is on at the time it is permissible to play without a referee, players must give their own approximate added time, decisions, etc. Yellow Cards will be disabled for the match but will be dished out after the match.

2.3: Recording
Every match this season will be recorded by the game's referee and/or the captains/players of either sides, after the game has ended the players/referee will post the game's replay onto haxball tube, the replay will then be posted alongside the match report by the referee.

2.4: Absence
If a team has not shown up for a game after twenty minutes past kick off, a default win will be given to the team present, if both teams were not present the match will be recorded as a bore draw.

2.5: Hosting
If both teams are without decent hosts, a neutral host may be used providing the neutral host has playable connection. If the opponents are not happy with the host they will have to offer an alternative host which is on playable conditions.

2.6: Player Leaving running Game
In the event of a player leaving the game as the match is running, a emergency substitution may be enforced even if the ball is not out for a goal kick. If no other players are available for substitution and three minutes has past since the player has left, the team has two options, either loaning a free agent still on chat, or continuing with 2v3 until the player returns. Waiting is not recommended as it will waste time which could end up in both teams starting up a flame war, it is permissible however. The same rules apply if a player has strong ping issues.

2.7: Pause Function
The pause function is only to be used by the referee, if you wish to pause the game you must type 'p' or 'pause' in the chat, if the referee agrees he will pause the game.

2.8: Substitutions
If a team wants a sub, the captain must type 'SUB' in chat, the referee will then pause the game and substitute the player, only the referee is permitted to substitute the player, the administration team will then deal with the team if their captain has substituted the player. Bans, point deductions and GD deductions all come into play. No subs are allowed while the ball is still in play on the field.

2.9: Referee Reports
All incidents, goals, assists, clean sheets etc. Will be posted by the referee on the forum alongside the match replay, visit the sub forum for more details.

2.0: Red Cards
In such circumstances the referee will be permitted to send off a player, on a second bookable offence, rude/obscene language/behaviour etc. Only the referee must send the player off. A new player must be substituted on unless no other player is available, in that case the match must be continued on 2v3.

3: Behaviour/Prohibited Concepts/Programmes
3.1: Attribute Enhancing Programmes
Programmes that advance any players game ability are strictly prohibited. That includes macros, changes on the game itself (speed or shooting power.)

3.2: Misbehaviour
Insults, in the forum as well as in TeamSpeak or the haxball rooms are to be abstained from and will be punished. Flaming and spamming are not wanted as well. Only the administration can handle these situations, as they are proven.

3.3: Fair Play Rules
We want every team and player to follow the rules of fair play at best will. If that is not given, the FL-Team preserves the right to deliver appropriate actions.

3.4: Vulnerabilities
If a player exploits vulnerabilities in the rules on purpose, the administration will apply punishments as appropriate.

Anything I missed out? Any errors I made? Just post below, thanks for reading.
